Our team managed and developed all aspects (e.g. vision, strategy, governance, policy, processes and Project Management Repository) of a Project Management Office (PMO) implementation within this Oil and Gas organization. The PMO information management repository was also a significant component in this project. This included an interface for project management tracking and monitoring of issues, decisions, and change requests. The PMO repository also provided the "executive management team" with a metrics database that supported scorecard and pipeline reports.
Members of our organization were hired as the Project Management Oversight Team for this large geospatial infrastructure design project that involved 4 different vendors across 3 different provinces. Our management team was responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, and deliverable quality all of which was done successfully. This project was managed using PMBOK® best practices and other special management techniques.
Our organization has team members who were involved in developing the strategic direction for a corporate-wide Geographic Information System implementation. The strategy promoted a phased and gated approach in order to minimize project risks and to ensure the client had an opportunity to make strategic hardware, software, middleware, and data purchases through a gated process. Upon approval of the strategy, our team then developed and executed two more phases either under planned budget or on planned budget. This project was also managed using PMBOK® best practices and other special management techniques.
A member of our team was chosen to audit and assess the current project cost management activities for a very large nuclear mega-project for energy development in Canada. The purpose of this project was to offer another perspective and to validate the existing Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) project plans.
